The MOVES Institute and the Naval Postgraduate School are heavily involved in the upcoming Interservice/Industry Training, Simulation and Education Conference (I/ITSEC) being held in Orlando, Florida the week of November 27 – December 01. Make change happen!!! Vote for Change Agent, a game conceived by Dr. Deborah Gibbons from NPS’s Department of Defense Management & built by the MOVES Future Tech team. The game is a finalist for the “Best Game for Government Audience” at the Serious Games Showcase & Challenge (SGS&C). You can drop by the SGS&C booth (3181) to play the game and see if you can overcome institutional inertia to change things for the better!!! Deborah and Eric Heine of the Future Tech team will be demonstrating their game all week.
Each I/ITSEC attendee gets a ballot with their registration, so submit yours for Change Agent in the SGS&C booth.

Focus Event 23S43 • 2023 I/ITSEC Fellows Presentation to James Wall, NPS ‘86
Being elected a fellow is the highest honor bestowed by the National Training and Simulation Association on behalf of the world-wide MS&T community. NPS grad James Wall (M.S. in Systems Technology (C3), 1986) will be invested as the 2023 I/ITSEC Fellows electee and will give a presentation which focuses on his 39 years of M&S experience as a staunch advocate for promoting modeling and simulation as a National Critical Technology.
Tuesday NPS Alumni Association Reception
The NPS Alumni Association is hosting a reception, and you don’t have to be alumni to attend – everyone with an interest in NPS is welcome. Come by, catch up and find out the latest going on at NPS while enjoying food and beverages. The reception will be held Tuesday November 28, 2023, from 4:30pm to 6:30pm in the Gary Sain Café, which is just across from room W315 in the West Concourse of the Orange County Convention Center.
